The setting sun down Grand Avenue in Chicago creates some dramatic shadows at the AMA building.

As I was walking home, this building had just one window illuminated. It contrasts nicely against the deep blue sky, especially in the blue sky reflected in the other windows.

Ker-plunk! Ker-plunk! On the 14th floor of the Tribune Tower, I can hear when the window washers are a few floors above. It's an exciting time, because I just know they will be coming down to my window!--and I get to photograph them! Suhhhh-weeet!

Usually I shoot them with the blinds down. This time I got really bold and just stood there and photographed him with the blinds all up and everything. Having a quick repeated shutter release makes it really nice to get just the right shot.

Next time I'm gonna hafta wave and hold up my Mr. T doll to get him to smile. :-)

Preston Bradley Hall - A large, ornately patterned room of curving white Carrara marble, capped with an austere 38-foot Tiffany glass dome designed by artist J. A. Holtzer. The Cultural Center states this to be the largest Tiffany dome in the world.

Excavator machines clear off the land where the 2000-foot tall Chicago Spire will stand. As featured in this photo, the tower will be bordered by the Chicago River on the south with the white granite Aon Center (3rd tallest building in America), Prudential 2, and gray Illinois Center on the other side of the river.

The stream of water is not from the construction site, rather it's the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District's centennial fountain and water cannon. On the top of the hour at River Esplanade Park, the water cannon shoots for 10 minutes. And look! A tourist boat is going by! Toot toot!

On a still night in downtown Chicago, the tulips stood still. Patiently and quietly waiting for their photo to be taken. They were a great model.

This particular shot was neat, because the lower half is like the bottom part of a heart. I used this photo in a card for my mom on mother's day.
